The weather played a part this weekend. The original plan of heading to Bay City for the Michigan Duels tournament at Bay City Western was cancelled due to the threat of bad weather. Plan B was hatched from some good fortune and a lot of phone calls. The Bulldogs went to Algonac and entered as one of 12 teams. Romeo took first place in pool play beating Utica Ford, Saint Clair, and Yale. In the first crossover Romeo defeated Oxford. The victory over Oxford set up the championship dual with New Lothrop. New Lothrop lived up to its’ billing as one of the top teams in the state by beating the Bulldogs for the championship.
Here are the dual meet scores:
Romeo 42 Utica Ford 30
Romeo 74 Saint Clair 6
Romeo 52 Yale 22
